IVOR’s Belated Xmas Shitstorm

shitstorm-flyer.jpg

I had high hopes of getting this up before Christmas, but that apparently wasn’t feasible. Then some time passed and I was like, shit, I can’t do a christmas post now.

Fuck it. Here it is.

The week before Christmas I did my Christmas/Santa/Jesus show, which I’ve never attempted to do before. I figured out that I had half a billion songs with either of those words in the title so it was time to put something together. I ended up with over 14 hours of crap to whittle down. I got it down to 6 hours and change and still had some bad apples in the barrel but ran out of time. So I whittled on air. It was kind of scary but I think it turned out well. Had to cut a few songs short but it was for the best. Had to be done.

I got a lot of good response from my Christmas extravaganza, which is odd since I never get much feedback from anyone so I thought I’d post the tracks I thought were the best.

A good handful of these come from two great compilations called Holiday Freak Out & Holiday Freak In. You can download the entire Freak In/Out comps there, but I’ve selected my favorites from those for this post.

I’m not going to list all the tracks here, but some highlights include: Head And Leg’s track about Jesus stealing his shoe in a dream, Michele Cody’s Merry Christmas Elvis, PacMan Christmas, the explicit and unaired Wayne Butane’s Very Special Christmas, Bill Hicks, Chinese kids choir and George Bush reading The Night Before Christmas.

I split them up into two zips. The first is if you’re only going to download one thing, this is the one to get. The second is just about as good, just not as urgent and essential as the first one.

2. IVOR’s Xmas Extravaganza Extras

It’s a good batch of crap. Enjoy.
