A scene from Godfather II

keatongodfather.jpg

I made this back in early 2001 right before it became cool to make music using text-to-speech robot voices. I was way ahead of the pack on this one.

I had envisioned making a series of scenes from pivotal moments in cinematic history, but this is as far as I got. Who has time to make genius art? Not I, my friends.

To be truthful, I think I just wanted to hear robots talking about abortion. And for that, I declare this to be a complete success.

This is the scene from Godfather II when Kay tells Michael that she had an abortion, passionately reenacted by male and female text-to-speech voices. Please don’t hold the past six years of robot voice abuse against this work of great art. I can only think of a few robot voice things that are actually better than this, one of which is the Karate Kid/Yoga Kid fable at the end of the Cockfight record I posted already. And I made this before I heard that, so suck it.

I tried that once and remember it being difficult at best. I wish you good luck in your future endeavors.

I did a version of “Straight Outta Compton” and I thought I thought of it first. Harrumph.
